Mark Vanderende started Absolute Entertainment in 2002 with the lofty goal of building the most professional and personable mobile DJ company in the Vancouver / Fraser Valley areas of British Columbia. Through hard work and exceptional customer service the team has grown from a one person wedding DJ operation to a full blown entertainment company specializing in DJing, bartending and photo booth services for a wide range of events from birthday's and Christmas parties to school reunions and celebrations of life.

At the heart of Absolute Entertainment's continual growth and success has been Vanderende's core values which he instills in his employees through his enthusiastic and fun-loving attitude. While looking for new ways to deliver exceptional customer service, while simultaneously raising the standards of the entertainment industry, Mark has found that the first principal of his success has truly been to embody the golden rule of "treating others as you would prefer to be treated". Digging deeper into this philosophy it becomes obvious that clients, vendors and employees alike wish to be treated with fairness and respect and to be addressed in a professional and fun manner. 

While Mark's business savvy and positive outlook have been largely responsible for getting Absolute Entertainment off the ground, it's continued success is a testament to the team he has put in place around himself. From the bartenders and photo booth attendants right up to the company's managers, Mark has always felt that empowering people and giving them the opportunity to shine is the key to building a happy and productive staff. It is not surprising that valued and respected team members perform better at our events which leads directly to customer satisfaction.

What started 15 years ago with Mark's personal vision for a special type of DJ company is now a thriving full service entertainment business involved with all aspects of the industry from production to education.
