"Hello, my name is Mark Vanderende, also known by my stage name DeeJay Absolute, and I’d like to welcome you to my website. It's a privilege to take part in an event as special as a wedding and I thank you for considering taking me along on the journey towards planning and executing the most important party of your lives! More than simply a DJ, MC or Host, I pride myself on being a true professional, experienced and versatile entertainer. I feel the foundation of my craft rest on three important pillars, namely:

I'd like to take a few minutes right now to walk you through my personal commitment to these pillars and how this allows me to dramatically bring the vision you have of your wedding to life!
EXPERIENCE
I first started out in the event industry over 15 years ago as a small time DJ in the Lower Mainland and quickly discovered my passion for performing at weddings. I feel it is such a privilege to be part of a couple’s most memorable celebration and I quickly became a full time wedding DJ. Since that time I have gone on to pack dance floors at over a thousand weddings under the name DeeJay Absolute. I love connecting with guests and it’s my mission to see every one of them from your nephew to your grandmother enjoying themselves through amazing music.
As I became established as one of the regions foremost wedding DJs, I began to add services to my repertoire under the name Absolute Entertainment. I am very proud of the success of this company that currently provides bartending, photo booth, lighting, hosting and DJ services to an ever increasing client base.
With these new ventures I began to become very passionate about the need for professional MC services in the wedding industry. With so many weddings under my belt as DeeJay Absolute I had truly seen it all when it comes to MCs and their performances both good and tragically bad had a huge impact on the success of the night. Since that time I have had the pleasure to be the MC (or as I prefer, event Host) at hundreds of weddings. It has truly become as important to my performance as the songs I select.
As I continue to enjoy the challenges and rewards of working in the wedding industry I have found myself evolving into a wedding planner. As the operator of Absolute Entertainment I have learned to manage multiple services for multiple events any given weekend and I have developed ways to plan, organize and execute events that work. When I sit down with a couple to discuss their wedding entertainment I am proud to be able to bring all my experience to the table and help them plan their special day.
Furthermore, I find I bring a unique perspective to the planning process that isn’t typical of wedding planners. Having seen so many weddings from the first vow to the last dance, I have come to believe that the key to your guest’s overall enjoyment is a properly executed timeline that is crafted like a piece of music. Starting from an entertainment perspective we ask ourselves how we want our guests to feel at any given moment, and then create the perfect mood through music, lighting and a professional event host to achieve that result.
